General InformationAll sessions will be conducted in English Malaysia enjoys sub-tropical weather condition throughout the year with temperatures from around 22-33 degrees Celsius (72-91 degrees Fahrenheit). Light clothing is recommended and attire is informal except for official functions when a lounge suite, national dress or long-sleeved shirt for gentlemen is appropriate. Modest attire (avoid shorts, mini-skirts and bare midriffs) is advisable when visiting mosques, churches, temples and other places of worship and rural villages. A light jacket is recommended when attending the conference sessions and when out in the evenings. Standard Malaysian time is eight hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). Shops are generally open between the hours of 10.00 – 22.00. Banking hours are between the hours of 09.30 – 16.00. Government offices are closed on Saturdays and Sundays. Voltage is 220 – 240 volts A.C. at 50 cycles per second. THE TRADE EXHIBITION An exhibition by pharmaceutical and commercial companies will take place within the framework of the Conference. Potential exhibitors can request information from the Conference Secretariat.
